This supercharged interactive workshop will stock your environmental and conservation education toolkit with tools and techniques that use play, humor and laughter to help you:
1.    Open people’s minds to new ideas.
2.    Create lasting positive emotional associations with the environment.
3.    Attract new audiences.
4.    Bring together people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
5.    Bridge cross-cultural divides.
6.    Empower people to take positive action.

Through gently playful, inclusive, and joyful approaches, difficult subjects such as climate change, environmental justice, and overpopulation can be introduced to broad audiences, attracting—not alienating—potential allies. Effective use of humor can serve as a bridge that engages diverse groups, bringing people together to solve common goals.

In this workshop, you will learn techniques used by storytellers, comedians, educators, and marketing agencies to communicate through humor, as well as ways to effectively incorporate laughter and play to deliver a program. We will move through a series of activities such as laughter yoga to prime the pump of creative thinking, applying these skills in small-group break-out sessions that focus on incorporating these approaches into your own context.

In addition to tools and techniques, you will be connected to a broad global network for positive change, including an overview of environmental organizations that use humor to relay their message. Join in and gain some inspiration for how you can make your contribution to grassroots social movements of humor and joyfulness for social and environmental change!

We'll be hosting three workshops on our "(Almost) Border-Wide Tour", find a city near you, register and come laugh and learn with us!
