Backyard Tourist, Inc. is a non-profit educational organization. Our purpose is to teach nature awareness in various environments and to educate the public in primitive Earth skills. Our educational and instructional programs for youth and adults create an understanding of the need for simpler living in order to reduce humanity's impact on the Earth.

The Coyote Youth Project is an After School Program for At Risk Youth using the wilderness and the local community as a classroom.
Special Services: Using the Environment as an Integral Context for Learning (EIC), (as defined by the State Education and Environment Roundtable (SEER), we have designed an experiential program (Coyote Youth Project) that uses real life outdoor experiences to enhance academic achievement. Grades 6-12.
